How to watch Mayweather vs Mcgregor from Kenya

Mayweather is probably the boxer who is going to have his first loss ever since he entered professional boxing 21 years ago, having won 49 matches and lost zero. In 2015, Mayweather narrowly won against Pacquiao of Philippines, an escape that he may not have against the Irish mixed martial arts and  professional boxer Conor Mcgregor. The boxing match Mayweather vs Mcgregor will go down on Saturday 26th Las Vegas times, but in Kenya the time shall have jumped to 6AM Sunday 27th August 2017.

Many in Kenya are excited to watch the most expensive match yet and are willing to wake up that early to watch the match live. So far, I haven’t seen any of the free to air channels advertising that they’ll air the match, but Naspers owned TV service providers DStv and ShowMax have indicated that they will be streaming the match live from Las Vegas.

“Floyd Mayweather versus Conor McGregor – the richest, most-hyped and over-the-top boxing fight in history – will be broadcast live on DStv’s SuperSport 2 and Maximo 1 across Africa in the early hours of Sunday, August 27”, reported sport24 on July 28th, so those with DStv should stay tuned on SuperSport 2 to work up their adrenaline.

On August 10th 2017 via a blogpost, ShowMax announced that they too will be streaming the Mayweather vs Mcgregor directly from Las Vegas “The fight is scheduled for Sunday 27 August at 5AM (CAT). Watch it live on SuperSport or if you’d rather sleep in after a big Saturday night out, the fight will be up on Showmax by 10am (CAT). And it’s absolutely free for Showmax and DStv Premium subscribers!”

Those not subscribed to ShowMax shouldn’t worry, as joining ShowMax right now will get you a 14 days free premium trial that will for sure allow you to watch the match for free. For those of you who joined but have had their subscriptions expired, you can simply renew your subscription for Kshs 250 and that will give you a three month’s premium access. Actually, if ShowMax will have more of these live shows on their platform, I too will have no option but to subscribe.

The fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao was dubbed the match of the century, but given the amount of money stakeholders are bound to make from the Mayweather vs Mcgregor match, it is very obvious that this current match will by far overtake the performance of the Pacquiao one.

Alright, are you taking bets? Who do you think gonna win this time round? I can bet Mayweather will trounce Mcgregor, fairly or otherwise.
