No kidding, Britam scooped all but one 2017 Think Business Investment Awards
Think Business Investment Awards is an annual Award organised by Think Business Limited, a company that prides itself as a strategic research and competitive intelligence powerhouse that serves the information needs of investors, policy makers and business leaders. To reward its banking, insurance and SACCO clients, Think Business Limited organizes the annual Think Business Investment Awards that has been running since 2008. In the 2017 Edition of the Awards, Britam decided to scoop 14 out of 15 awards up for grabs.
During the 2017 Award ceremony, Britam took home the Overall Fund Manager of the Year, Fund Manager of the Year – Pensions; Fund Manager of the year – Money Market, Fund Manager of the year – Equity; and Fund Manager of the Year – Fixed Income awards.
Britam Asset Managers was named the overall winner in all but one of the awards listed under two categories, namely the Collective Investment Scheme Award and the Fund Managers / Investment Award.
In the Collective Investments Scheme Awards categories, Britam Asset Managers emerged the overall winner in all nine categories namely: Unit Trust of the Year, Best Fund in Absolute Returns, Best performing Equity Fund, Best performing Money Market Fund and Best performing Balanced Fund.
The asset management company also took home the awards for Best Performing Bond Fund, Best Performing Other Fund, Best Trust in Quality Client Service and the Most Innovative Trust.
The awards recognize and reward outstanding performance of companies as reflected in their audited financial statements and rank companies that have greatly contributed to the growth of the sector through technological innovations, good corporate governance, social impact and sustainability, education and great customer service, Britam Asset Managers said in a statement.
This year’s event was organized by Think Business Limited, and supported by the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA), and The Kenya Association of Stockbrokers and Investment Banks (KASIB). The theme of this year’s event was: “Finding Opportunities in Uncertainty”.
