You Could Log Into One WhatsApp Account On Four Devices In New Multi-Platform System
WhatsApp users will now be in a position to interact with friends and family using the same account on multiple devices at the same time – says the Facebook-owned platform. This means that WhatsApp users will be able to log into the same account on iOS, Android, Mac, and Windows.
Once the multiplatform system is introduced, users will not have to uninstall their WhatsApp accounts before switching devices, similar to how Apple’s iMessage works. Currently, WhatsApp can only be used on one phone and while WhatsApp web is available to use the service on a Mac or PC through a desktop app, this is only possible when there is an active connection to the phone running the main WhatsApp app.
According to inside sources, you will be able to use WhatsApp on your computer through the application without having an internet connection on your phone, although not entirely since a few minutes of connection will be used while opening the messenger on a different PC. The soon to be released feature will save individuals the hustle of buying multiple SIM cards
New Features
The messaging platform has also been working on user convenience with new releases expected any time soon…
Quick Edit Media: Instead of receiving a photo and having to copy it and save just to resend with some modifications, the new feature helps the user to save time and storage. It quickly allows one to edit media you sent and receive in your chats and groups.
The feature works on Android and iOS (but being under development it’s not available yet), and it adds a button to make it easy
QR Code Shortcut: WhatsApp users would be able to scan and share QR codes by tapping the dedicated shortcut. QR code button is also said to enable users to add their contacts using QR codes. The feature was spotted on the Android beta version 2.19.189 update and is not available for the public.
