Oscar Awards 2020: Full List of the 92nd Nomination
The nominees for the prestigious 92nd Oscar Awards were released on Monday, January 13, 2020. The Oscar routine is that each January every year, entertainment players such as film directors, actors and actresses, movie makers and technicians among many other film industry fans around the world, focus their attention on the Academy hoping that they will be recognized for the roles they play and fans hope that their favorite movie stars would get a fair share of the highly coveted awards.
This year, Kenyans are very disappointed with the Oscar Academy for snubbing their own actress, Lupita Nyong’o like she never played any important role last year. Many fans from all over the world have taken their anger to Social Media. How on earth did Scarlett Johansson get two nominations yet Lupita who delivered exceptional performance in Us movie missed out? Us is a horror film produced in 2019 by Monkeypaw Production and directed by Jordan Peele.
Ugh. @Lupita_Nyongo @awkwafina @JLo @GerwigGreta deserved to be on that list. We want better @TheAcademy It’s one thing to say ”we want to honor women and people of color there’s just no work.” Now we have the work. And it’s excellent. So what's the excuse now?

Lupita, in the movie, takes up the role of Adelaide. A wife who’s haunted by her childhood. Lupita has been praised on Social Media for being the realist woman who gave her best in the movie. Lupita pulled out as a remarkable character, switching from mom to monster so easily within the same scene. No one knows why exactly the Oscar decided to ignore her, nevertheless, the 25th annual Critics’ Choice Awards recognized Lupita’s achievement in Us with a nomination for Best Actress. American actress Renee Zellweger, however, emerged the winner.
