New Group Booking Service, Shukran, To Boost Jambojet’s Passenger Traffic
Jambojet is now allowing group bookings to destinations within the region in a new product aimed at accommodating traveler preferences and choices. On the other hand, Jambojet is looking to maximize the number of passengers flying on the regional low-cost carrier. Shukrani, the new product offering by the airline will accommodate group bookings targeting senior citizens, students, Chama groups, among other segments.
According to Jambojet, passengers traveling under the new package will have the opportunity to tailor their traveling conditions such as services offered. This the regional carrier says is to match the customer’s desired journey.
“We have seen an increased interest in special requests from groups and a need to offer a tailor-made product for this customer segment. We are keen to continue coming up with innovative products to address our customers’ needs,” said Allan Kilavuka, Chief Executive Officer, Jambojet.
Customized Services
The product offers one free seat; with applicable taxes, for every group booked, dedicated check-in desk, meet, greet and assist services, special in-flight mentions, and pre-assigned group seating.
To launch the product, Jambojet in partnership with Sarova Whitesands, flew a group of 16 women aged between 45-68 years from Ngonde PCEA Church in Kiganjo, Nyeri County. It was their first time flying, after they were nominated in an online competition carried out by Jambojet between October 15th and 20th October 2019.
The parent company, Kenya airways already has the service running for both economy and business cabins. Passengers traveling in a group of 10 or more in the Economy cabin and 5 or more in the Business cabin can request for group fares.
The new offer will be eligible to all seven destinations Jambojet currently flies; Entebbe, Kigali, Mombasa, Eldoret, Kisumu, Malindi and Ukunda (Diani)
