The event will focus on the 2021 outlook for emerging and frontier markets, with Charles Robertson, Chief Global Economist, and Daniel Salter, Head of Equity Strategy, Renaissance Capital, discussing the macro and market implications of the US election and what this means for EM & FM investment flows.

The public part of the conference will also include macro updates on SSA, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia, Russia and CIS+, and sector panel discussions on the Nigerian and Egyptian fintech and the Russian consumer sector, hosted by top managers of leading regional players, such as Paystack (Nigeria), Fawry (Egypt), Ebtikar (Egypt), X5 Retail Group, M.Video, Samolet Group and Sovcombank (Russia), representatives of global venture and private equity capital – Helios Investment Partners, Hacked Ventures, Actis, and Flourish Ventures – as well as Renaissance Capital’s macro economists, research analysts and investment bankers.

Evgueni Konovalenko, Head of International Sales, Renaissance Capital, said: “Renaissance Capital is renowned for providing corporate access across its regions. For our 25th anniversary conference, we’ve already scheduled more than 700 meetings, and are excited to host over 200 investors from across the globe, managing total assets in excess of $25tn. We are looking forward to discussing and debating what the coming months and quarters may hold for EM and FM, and see the level of engagement in our conference as a positive sign of greater interest in EM and FM as we head in to 2021.”

Daniel Salter, Head of Research, Eurasia, Head of Equity Strategy, Renaissance Capital, said: “We are delighted to celebrate Renaissance Capital’s 25th anniversary by doing what we do best – bringing together global investors with leading corporates from across the region – at a dedicated conference. From our humble beginnings in Moscow in the mid-nineties until now, research has been at our core, underpinning our expansion across the CIS+ region, into South Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Turkey, the Middle East, North Africa and beyond, and we now cover 238 companies across 24 countries. This year sees us launch our new sponsored research product, enabling us to further broaden our research coverage. As we enter our second quarter century, our commitment to frontier and emerging markets remains as strong as ever, as does our mission to help investors navigate the challenges and opportunities they represent.”

Broadcast of the public part of the conference will be available at https://events.rencap.com/25conference and on Renaissance Capital’s YouTube channel.
